Opera
- Cinderella, by G. Rossini at the Maestranza Theatre. April 8, 2018 at 6:00 p.m. This session, which aims to bring opera to school children and families, is an excellent plan for children to learn about the story in another format. The combination of colorful costumes and staging full of laughter and humor will entertain the whole family. More information about tickets and prices here.
Dance
- Carmen, played by the Víctor Ullate Ballet at the Maestranza Theatre. June 13 and 14, 2018 at 8:30 p.m. A necessary update on the history of the Sevillian cigar maker, one of the most complex characters and with more edges of contemporary fiction. The essence of Carmen remains alive in the interpretation, although with a modern and timeless wardrobe. See more information and prices here.
Exhibitions
- Robert Capa in Color, a photo exhibition of the photojournalist, at the CaixaFórum. Until May 13, 2018. The Hungarian photographer is well known for his black and white snapshots. In spite of everything, his work also includes a fair number of color photos. Among them are the 150 photographs exhibited in Seville.

La mirada de la Santidad (The look of Holiness). Exhibition of the work of Murillo in the Cathedral. Until December 8, 2018. Open every day with variable schedules. This is one of the many exhibitions and activities organized for the Murillo Year. An excellent opportunity to (re)discover the intimate relationship of the Sevillian painter with the Church. La mar de cetáceos en Andalucía (The Sea of Cetaceans in Andalusia), informative exhibition at the Casa de la Ciencia (House of Science). This permanent exhibition aims to bring children and adults closer to the biodiversity of aquatic mammals that are concentrated in the Strait of Gibraltar. Through replicas of cetaceans and real skeletons, visitors can get an idea of the size and anatomy of these cetaceans. An interesting activity to become aware of the biodiversity that surrounds us and get closer to the ten different species of whales and dolphins found off our coasts.
Monuments
- Visits to the Archbishop's Palace. Saturdays: April 7 and 28; May 5 and 19, and June 2 and 16. This building from the mid-sixteenth century opens its doors to Seville and tourists. With very specific and controlled sessions. The groups will consist of a maximum of 30 people. An excellent opportunity to contemplate the noble dependencies of a building considered a Historic-Artistic Monument since 1969. Some sessions are free. - Visits to the Palace of Lebrija. Open all year with variable schedules according to date. Also known as the palace of the Countess of Lebrija, it dates back to the sixteenth century. In addition to its architecture, it stands out for its vast collection of Roman mosaics, which make up almost all the ground floor pavement. In fact, it is considered by many to be the best-paved house-palace in Europe. In short, a building with a hearth of approximately 2500 square meters spread over two floors. El sermón del bufón (The Jester's Sermon) by Albert Boadella at the Lope de Vega Theatre. From May 17 to 19, 2018 at 8:30 p.m. May 20 at 7:30 p.m. Iraya Producciones returns to Seville with a work by the controversial Catalan orchestra man. Albert Boadella plays himself while he reviews the best works of Els Joglars's trajectory and reflects on his craft.

Blackbird at the Central Theatre. April 27 and 28, 2018 at 9:00 p.m. The work of David Harrower arrives on Spanish stages thanks to the direction of Carlota Ferrer. However, the one responsible for its adaptation and staging is Irene Escolar, the leading actress, who bought the rights for its adaptation in Spanish. Together with José Luis Torrijo, he interprets this contemporary drama about human relationships. A narrative as a thriller that places the viewer as a judge of a fragmented and incomplete story.

- Avenida 5 Cines V.O.S. Sevilla also has a space to enjoy the author's cinema in its original version with subtitles. A place frequented by lovers of cherished cinema in which there is no shortage of international and national options. Check out the billboard.

- Concert by Tom Harrell at the Lope de Vega Theatre. May 15, 2018 at 8:30 p.m. The American musician will put the finishing touch on the Jazz Cycle of the institution. The flugelhorn player and jazz composer will also bring a show to fill the auditorium with rhythm and creativity. An essential date for those who love jazz and musical improvisation!

- Concert by Javier Ruibal at the Lope de Vega Theater. May 4, 2018, at 8:30 p.m. The Cádiz-born singer-songwriter will present his latest album, "Quédate conmigo." He will return to Seville to delight his followers with his particular fusion style. Their melodies mix Arabic-Andalusian, flamenco and jazz styles with lyrics loaded with poetry.
Books
- Bookstore-café: Un gato en bicicleta (A cat on a Bicycle). Because books are best read when accompanied by a coffee. A concept cafe/bookstore combo that is permeating Seville more and more. In addition to discovering literary novelties and alternative press, in this cozy space, there is also a place for exhibitions. Of particular interest is their pottery workshop, visible from inside the cafeteria.
